The Menck-Tubular-Frame piling rigs are supplied with steam, electric-or diesel-hydraulic drive. The steam boiler is normally adequate for a pile driving period of approximately 30 minutes. Besides single-acting menck pile hammers drop hammers can also be operated with a follower rope on the steam driven piling rigs. Moreover, the next bigger-or smaller pile hammer model-with exception of the drop hammer-can be used on the piling rigs. The weight of the pile hammer and pile, however, may not exceed the lifting capacity of the piling rig.
